Coupe Mudflaps F&R?
Re: Coupe Mudflaps F&R?
I think they all came with front mud flaps, but i have never seen rear ones. I have done before, was get some universal mud flaps and cut them down to fit the way I like them.

Re: Coupe Mudflaps F&R?
Brad, neither of my coupes had rear mudflaps.
Probably why they both had rusted lower rear fenders!
Once the very thin paint was chipped away from stones, sand, snow, salt that was the end of the fenders.
Honda must have had seen this was a major problem, maybe it was an option?

Re: Coupe Mudflaps F&R?
Actually lyle, I think they rust from the inside. I think water gets in there and trapped.I believe it needs a drain hole.

Re: Coupe Mudflaps F&R?
Thanks Bill, hard to see them in the picture.
It looks like they attached to the inner fender, there is a horizontal sheet metal ledge that could be the mounting spot.
They should have been standard!
What were the other options?
*Clock
*Side molding
*Tail pipe chrome tip

Re: Coupe Mudflaps F&R?
Hey Bruce that is a cool list of options.
I can't see going to the mountains to go skiing in a 600, but with tire chains and a rack, maybe.
Didn't see a cigarette lighter? My coupe has a block off plug instead.
I do have an AM radio!
The Honda Coupe sold for about $1,700. The AM radio, rear mudflaps, clock and a steering wheel cover would be good options. But, then the Honda would cost about what my 1971 Pinto Runabout did.
$2,062 + $61 for an AM radio and $67 for transportation charges.
Total $2,190 plus tax.
Wow, things were so cheap back then!!!

Re: Coupe Mudflaps F&R?
Unique to the Coupe is the grill covers. #4 and #5 on the option page 62800-605-810 or 820. Also, available for sedans was the rear split fold down rear seat. And the option is the side sill protector. But the ones for the Coupe had a different pattern stamped in them.
The only true Coupe sill protectors I have seen were at Tim Mings shop.
