I was looking at my air cleaner today.
The stock filter when installed has a lot of room to move back away from the sealing front surface. The gasket is about 3/8 thick and the filter about 3.75". But the housing is about 4-1/2"
Has anyone looked into this problem.
Does anyone make an after market filter for the Coupe?
K&N.....
Thanks
Lyle

Re: Air cleaner
The retaining clip is missing. This is HC 50186 in the parts book.

Re: Air cleaner
Do you have the spring clip that holds the gasket on the element against the air cleaner box?

Re: Air cleaner
Hi Bruce and Richard, yep my clip is missing.
My air cleaner is a little dirty but will be OK for awhile.
K&N doesn't have anything that I can find.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Air cleaner
What effective aftermarket or "homemade" filter has anyone used as an element for inside the stock air cleaner box?
