Since both boards are currently overwhelmed with the mini cooper threads, I thought I would pass this interesting mod for a mini on the 600 board.

The point of the mod is to put better (or disc's) on a drum braked mini. If your mind works like mine, you see the possibility of putting the same thing back on a 600.
Plus, I recall years ago the practice of redrilling the 600's to accept the mini's bolt pattern; (another separate idea). I realize that wheels for mini's or 600's are both expensive now so the redrill idea isn't what it used to be.
Any comments on either thing will be welcome.
disc brake modification
Re: disc brake modification
I've thought about it, only down side is the loss of the parking brake. With our small engines I don't think the compression won't hold it if parked on hill while in gear. I figure ill upgrade the fronts to vented rotors/larger calipers and call it a day.

Re: disc brake modification
New member here that recently bought a coupe to restore...
On the parking brake issue, they make a mechanical small disc brake caliper for go carts that could be used. Simple cable operation, much like a normal emergency brake would have and should be able to use the stock Honda setup...
Just a thought...
