chain guide roller O.D.?

[lostideas]

Anyone have the chain guide roller outside diameter measurements handy? I have a 14630-551-020 Roller sitting in front of me and the part number isn't coming up in the N/Z600 parts catalogs. Found it listed as N360 part number and I know the center bore is the same as they use the same pin part #. Just looking to see if they interchange. It looks the same as photos of the 14630-568-000 N/Z600 but cannot determine actual size from photos. any help would be appreciated. thanks

The outside diameter over the teeth is about 2-3/8".
It has 24 teeth.
The diameter at the root of the teeth is about 2-1/16"
Width is about 9/16".
I need one for my spare engine if it's the same.

The guide roller is the smooth one, not the toothed tensioner wheel. I am expecting my tensioner wheels in the mail any day now,ill post pics when I get them.

They used a bearing for the center hub, a better way for sure.
Can't tell what material they used, maybe a high temp nylon.
Is the diameter the same as the stock one?
So how many did you have shipped in?

Has this wheel been tested?  On/in  a Honda 600 at speed and then torn down for inspection?
The reason I ask, is because there have been other parts made and never tested and they melted into an un-use able part.

I bought them from a Honda 2 cylinder specialty shop in Japan,  www.auto-spot.net is the supplier. They sell them as the only available replacement part since Honda has long discontinued the parts. The shop has been open since 1979 according to there website and they do everything from building racing N's to simple maintenance. With that kind of background I tend to trust the product and company but have seen the melted wheels that Miles had pictures of and understand your worry. I have not personally tested them but plan on using them when I rebuild my engine in the spring. I may try to find someone who is rebuilding one now to test fit and run but the measurements that I have show them to be the same general size, tooth count, etc. I'm not trying to rip anyone off with a cheap copy that will fail for a quick buck , I have personally spent 100's of hours looking for parts to help get my car on the road and keep others going. If Lyle or anyone would like to test the one extra wheel I bought please contact me personally and they can have it for cost plus shipping. Then we can get all get nice feedback and a report from someone stateside.

They are most likely a good product with the back ground information you offered.  And, don't get me wrong, I don't think anyone would intentionally put a part or product out to the group that would damage one of these cars.
    And to Miles credit he let everyone know that the part was failing and offered to make things right.  Miles also did things right on the mark.
   Back to the roller, are there any modifications that need to be made to the bracket to put the wheel on?  Or is it a straight shot?  A bit larger is ok as long as it doesn't hit anything.   I am wondering about the center pin, is it the same size? (width/length of the pin)   I  have added a couple of pages with part numbers for both the 360 and 600, the part numbers are different, so this is another reason for the questions.
