Hello All,
I just picked up a Complete engine, transaxle & sub-frame for my 600
Sedan. The engine has been sitting for about 20 years, I was curious if
some makes a rebuild kit for these engines that includes
crankshaft, new oversize pistons, heavy duty cam chain, all new gaskets
and seals, new transmission bearing, new differential bearings, rebuilt
starter, new intake and exhaust valves, heavy duty oil pump rod,
resleeved oil pump body, new cam chain tensioner, fully synchro
transmission,
(Note this paragraph is from a rebuilt engine on ebay)
Finally got an engine....A few questions
Re: Finally got an engine....A few questions
No,
You get the joy of finding everything piecemeal. To build the engine up like the one on ebay, you're going to pay a similar sum (cash, time, quality). The seller (Mike O'Connor) gives it a 12,000 mile guarentee, that says a lot.
The really big deal is the crank. New ones are seriously rare and will cost a princely sum. Everything else has a workaround.
