I am purchasing a 1972 Z600. The previous owner claims that the
ignition has to be changed as any square object will turn on the
ignition switch. How available is a switch? I have seen key blanks on
various EBAY sites but think it will be more than just a key. I would
appreciate any comments on this subject.

Re: 1972 Z600 Coupe Ignition switch
Something to think about: One my other little cars is a 1973 MG Midget
which, by some strange coincidence, has an ignition key that fits my
Honda and vice versa. They are not interchangeable in the sense that
the MG key can start the Honda butI thought it was interesting that
they use the same key blank. That begs the question of whether or not
the ignition switch is the same or similar enough to be interchangeable
between the Midget and the Honda. I have not looked into that but it
would be an interesting thing to check out.
Thoughts anyone?
