back window

hello all,
My back window is not glass....it is thick layer of plastic very close to plexi-glass....did it come this way from the factory?

My 72 coupe when i bought it from a guy had a plastic window on the
back also. i replaced it with a glass one i found.

Hi John;
No all Coupe hatch windows were glass, does not mean some one couldn't have put a Plexiglas one in, original was safety glass.  You will also note that the glass one curves a bit.   Thanks for the numbers.
Your car is one of 6 coupes known to exist that were manufactured in Aug 1971.
Less than 6000 Coupes made for the USA market were manufactured from April through December 1971.
