To: Andrew P Thornton;
If you haven't noticed there are only Honda 600 owners or people wanting to
be Honda 600 owners, on any of the Yahoo group pages. And, keeping it that
way makes this a better way to pass and receive knowledge. Often, many
issues are taken outside of these groups to discuss with people in the
group, issues they don't want to bring up here. If you don't want to bring
it up here that's fine, but to say the 2cylinderhondas or anzhonda600owners
groups are not a "real forum" is your problem, and not an issue for the rest
of us.
I did go to your www.n600.net, I found it rather commercial, not much for
the hobbyist, the "build a N600" tab, opened every Honda car but the N600.
Posts were rather short, and only had a e-mail page. The Movie section had
Mazda's, but no N600's. I tried several times to open the pictures tab, but
only three of the pictures opened. And, only one of several links listed
opened, which was a dealer site.
Yahoo has it's short-comings but everything works. It also allows other
sites/owners to give there information freely, such as yourself. But to say
this group is not what you think it should be is your observation, and you
have made another site that has some issues with it too. If you would like
to view some of the other sites of Honda 600 Owners, just ask them. Steven
Michelsen [stevenm@...] has a site that supports all of us, while
Matt Timion [matt@...] has a site that takes you step by step
through his restoration. And, we should have a page that lists all the
Honda 600 sites so everyone can learn and support other Honda 600 restorers
and their restorations.
The Honda 600 Sedan you have posted on your page will be a very aggressive
restoration. With out seeing the rest of the parts I can only assume that
they too are as rusty as the body. I know where there are doors and front
fenders and I know of a couple of Sedan Body's that are in much better
condition than yours as to other members of these group sites, if your
interested.
