Eearlier here, there has been talk of getting various engine bits plated in
gold zinc, to bring back the "factory look". I would like to know two
things:
How do I prepare an item for the gold zinc plating treatment? Strip it to
bare metal?
What do you call a place that offers such a service on a small scale? I am
not sure where to look.
My engine is finally ready to get lifted into the coupe. Is there anything
I ought to inspect after I install it and before I turn the key? It's been
six months since it was last run. An oil change comes to mind - what else?
