Does anyone have any experience with a flexible chrome-colored plastic that
can be used to trim a coupe hatch window? Any products and/or sources to
look at?
Thanks,
Steve

flexible chrome strip for coupe hatch?
Hi Steve;
As shown in the attached picture, this is a standard chrome strip for over wheel openings. It is self adhering and was fairly cheap. But in order to get it to stay I had to first bend and tape it in place (without removing the covering to the sticky back) to get it to stay in that shape. Then I removed the backing and put it in place.
But the glass had to be prepped with vinyl prep first to make it stay.

Re: flexible chrome strip for coupe hatch?
Bill,
What is that strip made of? Metal, or plastic? How flexible is it? Is it a "J" shape, or something else? What product works as a "vinyl prep"? That's to help the glue I assume?
It looks great!

What do you mean when you say to vinyl prep? I have my local auto
glass guy looking all over the place to find something to keep the UV
rays from cracking the adhesive.
Thanks,
Jason

SEM makes a vinyl prep called #38464 water borne vinyl/plastic prep or #3835
Plastic Prep. As the instructions say on the can, don't use both, just one
or the other.
