Coupe rear bumpers.

I am trying to find the difference between early and late coupe
rear bumpers. I have a fairly late coupe and the bumpers are
different than all the pictures I have seen. My rear bumpers are not
flat cross section, but rather the same cross section as the front
bumper. Also no place for bumper guards. They seem to stick out from
the body more than they should. Can anybody shed some light on this?

Hi there JMITISKA;
Go to the photo album and see if there are any rear bumpers like yours.
There were only two manufactured by Honda. If yours are different than
either of these, then it means some one made them. Not a hard thing to do.
I have seen them welded to gather, with the spare tire door welded shut on
the Coupe. This was to accommodate a 15 Gallon fuel tank. Great tank
mileage, it took us weeks to see the float to the fuel gauge move. But
please send pictures, there is always room for another.
