Guys my parts houses say I cant get oil filled shocks anymore. I have
tryed the gas ones for the 69 datsun pickup and it rides like a truck
now. would the VW ones be better?

No Chris, the dampening in the shock is stiff and will keep your car solid
to the road with very little body roll. This is good, but it will not have
the soft ride that the Honda shocks have. However after you drive it for a
couple of months it will get better. Also if you put 50 pounds of sand in
your trunk it will have a softer ride. But not having the body roll is the
best part of it. After you get used to it you will not want to go back.
And as to the VW shocks, they are stiffer.
