Summer / winter switch?

Post by Chuck Dean »

Summer / winter switch?
Hello everyone, I got some engine compartment decals from bill, one is silver, with left and right arrows and the words winter, below 60F and summer above 60F
Is there a switch I don't know about and if so, where is it?
The weather has cooled down here in the desert,...
Thanks,
Chuck (mobile)

Isn't there a hose that goes to the bottom of the air cleaner intake. As I recall, there is a lever on the intake?  Flip the lever to preheat the air and improve fuel vaporization in the winter. Flip it the other way to keep the air from becoming too warm in the summer Sent from my iPhone

The only Air Filter Box that takes a label has a squarish intake and a lever on the side
with a flapper-doo inside that shuts off the hot air from the heat exchanger.
If it has a round intake like in my photo it does not have the label.

Thanks everyone for your input. I have found the lever, and where the label goes on the air cleaner horn. Now that I know where it's at, the photographs makes sense. It's difficult to visualize these things when you have 20/400 vision.
Thanks again!

When I read: The only Air Filter Box that takes a label has a squarish intake I didn't know what you were talking about. Now that I've looked at it, that is a perfect description of the air intake! Good job!
