72' AZ600 Coupe Trim

Post by Brian Bates »

I'm looking for the trim piece that goes around the glass on the rear window. My car did not have it when purchased, so I don't even know if it is plastic or metal.
Thanks...

It was chrome plastic and it was set into the frame at the same time the glass was bonded in and was only available with the rear hatch as a complete unit , if it doesn't leak leave well alone i've tried several way's to make one up and the only way i found to do it was to remove the glass ( sometimes they just fall out!) and fit a "u"  shaped  6 to 10mm chrome plastic trim and re bond the glass back in it's a messy job but worth doing if you want it to look right.

The chrome trim was never available as a separate part in the USA.  I've found 2 sets over seas before.   I have the part numbers written down somewhere but the chances of finding one is slim.   Nobutoshi can post pics of the set as I sold him my other set years back.

Close-up pics.
Lip will hook around the rear glass to stay on.

Yep, got the part numbers from a Honda 600 Coupe owner in Italy years back.  Never did fine the parts.
