Re: Brake parts
Sorry gang, total bummer on Sierra, if I had known they were closing up I'd of had my remaining parts sleaved......dang!
Re: Brake parts
I had White Post do my TN360 master and wheel cylinders about 3 years ago. The service was fast and I have had no issues. The cylinders were sleeved and they have a life time warranty.
A bit expensive but woth it.

Back about 5 years ago I had some calipers
rebuilt by Centric through my local
auto part store. I took them apart when I got
them to see what was inside.
They came back with brand new pistons and
seals/boots and a different style bias ring.
I thought Great! only $35 ea lets send in 10.
When I got them back they did not have new pistons.
They had my old rusty pistons which they ground
the pits out of. I managed to get some of my money
back and salvaged 2 sets and some new
seals but the other rebuilds were garbage.
The only place besides me and Mike I ever heard
of rebuilding master cylinders was White Post in
White Post VA. I don't know what they charge but
my last price was $250.00 and they looked like
factory original with gold zinc fittings
etc.

I too had them do a power booster for me a couple of years back. I had to provide the diaphragm but they did a great job, they even gold zinc the canister and other fittings. It came out looking and working very nice.

Re: Brake parts
Miles is spot on.
A number of years ago I had a plating company (local) rechrome plate a bunch of them. They even did the pistons for the power booster. And they did a fantastic job. When I had used them all up I went back to have more done and the company was driven out of business by the EPA.
The cost of plating has gone up so much because of restrictions and zoning limits getting them done right is almost cost prohibitive. But in order for the pistons on your Honda 600 to function properly they need to be rechromed. The local bumper shop will not due, they need to be done correctly so the chrome does not flake off with in a year or so.

Re: Brake parts
Hello, Has anyone tried this place for their Honda’s? :
http://www.chtopping.com/Home/index.html I have dealt with them through my work on other cars, I asked if they could do my N600 brakes and they said yes but I haven’t gotten to that part of the car yet.
Merry Christmas!

Re: Brake parts
Dale,
You are correct. Cardone will attempt to rebuild anything by using generic parts. There are no generic parts that fit these cylinders.
Kits available at: honda600carparts.com/brakes
Why fool around when you can do it the easy way.

Re: Brake parts
We do what Sierra used to do. Joe used to sleeve cylinders for us and provide kit parts. When he told me he was retiring we put together the equipment and parts to take up the slack.
