If it measures 8mm inside diameter then this hose is meant for brake fluid, it will work very well and last a long time:

Well it is amazing with all the experience on this board we haven’t seen an answer but I went out to my ’72 N600 and reluctantly got the rusted clamps loose and the hardened hose pushed back far enough to measure the fitting and it is 10mm. I haven’t tried to tackle this part of the car due to the condition of the hoses and clamps fearing a fitting was going to break off and I would have to comb Ray’s site to find another reservoir, LOL.

I have the same hose from Bruce. I haven't noticed it sweating, but if I'm in for a failure, I'd like to buy the Brembo hose from you, if you can spare it. Please let me know how to Paypal the payment. Also, are you still working on jack handle holders?

Ill give a heads up when I'm planning on ordering brembo hoses so everyone who's interested can get in on it.   Probably about 3-4 weeks till I'm home and ready to order.
As for jack handle holders I won't be making them anymore now that bill has started producing them himself.   I still have very high quality coupe hood bumpers and hood prop holders that are very very close to OEM and extrusion made vs poured though.
Ill match bills pricing so I dont get stuck with the 1000$ plus I've invested in having them made.

brake reservoir tubing

Post by Bill »

It's great that your looking for and finding alternatives to the problem. But is anyone holding the person/company that sold this stuff to you accountable?  It seems like replacements should be coming from that source.

RE: [2cylinderhondas] brake reservoir tubing
Well it is amazing with all the experience on this board we havent seen an answer but I went out to my 72 N600 and reluctantly got the rusted clamps loose and the hardened hose pushed back far enough to measure the fitting and it is 10mm. I havent tried to tackle this part of the car due to the condition of the hoses and clamps fearing a fitting was going to break off and I would have to comb Rays site to find another reservoir, LOL.

Re: brake reservoir tubing

Post by Eric Geiger »

To the people who were interested in the brembo tubing,  I may hold off on buying it.  I stand corrected in saying that my brake reservoir house was sweating I found a crack in my tach cable black rubber tubing and believe that oil was getting past the tach seal into the cable and then flung onto the brake tubes.
If u still want some let me know and ill give u links for purchasing it. But as of this time I believe I will be sticking with the stuff from
honda600carparts.com
I will post again if things change
Thank you.

sounds good.  how quick are you gonna be done with your master cylinder.  before i order it id like to confirm with my own measurements that the sizing and wall thickness are all correct.   or if you can measure the OD and wall thickness with a dial caliper i can use those for ordering purposes
