NOS valve cover gasket wanted for mold making purposes

Post by eric.geiger »

I'm looking for a coupe and sedan NOS valve cover gasket to use for mold making of reproductions. I am willing to purchase at a fair price and give the seller a few free reproductions in exchange when completed.
Please contact me directly if you have either of these items and we can work out a deal.
I'm very excited to be able to offer the members of this group a quality product at a great price.

Wow - I think that a lot of us would appreciate getting repro valve cover gaskets, Eric! I've actually been surprised that nobody (to my knowledge, at least) has made these so far. I'll await news that you have them available with great anticipation.

Eric, Be aware that there Lazorlite gasket kits that include the valve cover gasket.  It is undersize, do not use.  Good luck, I'll take two.

The Lazorlite gaskets were easy to identify. They have the letters THO cast into them. They fit but had to be stretched first.
Back in the day a Lazorlite kit was only $22.oo for top & bottom set but every kit was missing 1 exhaust crush gasket. They were original Honda gaskets repackaged. Lazorlite also offered cam chains, intake & exhaust valves. The exhaust valves were junk - would burn through.

Hi Eric,
How's the progress on getting the valve cover gaskets made? (I'm looking forward to getting some for my coupe.)
Thanks!

The manufacturer currently has all the NOS gaskets and a full cam housing assembly.   Waiting on tooling cost quote.   If all goes well I will have 2-3 samples for testing in like 2 weeks and as long as testing goes well on test vehicles and engines should have production units in about 4 weeks.
Took longer than I was expecting but I want the final product to be perfect and it'll be worth the wait.
