What is the best way to polish or refinish the engine while it is out of my sedan? It runs great but has the usual heavy white oxidation. I was not planning to disassemble it.
Also, is it worth the extra time to remove the dash/steering/pedals for the repaint or just carefully mask it off?

Your friendly, local boat/marine supply has products to remove oxidation from aluminum. I have seen it used on an S600 engine and it works better than anything I have seen. All it requires is a mild scrubbing with a fairly stiff brush. The marine supply house should be able to set you up Don B. Laughton Sent from my iPhone
