Hi,
How much are you asking? also, do you know what the difference between a n600 vs a z600 is?
Thanks,
Elliot

Re: Hawaiian Engine for sale
Elliott, for the record, if you do not know, the N600 is a sedan, and the Z600 is a coupe.
The N has a trunk and the Z is a hatchback.
The drivetrain on both are almost identical.
The N has no tach, the Coupe does.
Mike's "Hawaiian style" engine could go into either a Coupe or a sedan, but as it's a sedan engine - no tach. If one wanted to use it in a Coupe, he could theoretically set it up with the parts to use it's tach, I'll guess.
Here is the coupe:

Re: Hawaiian Engine for sale
Steve, correct, the engine will fit in the Coupe chassis but t he early (or Hawaiian) type engine used an Angle Port Head (necessary to gain that additional power) that used the Y silencer and had the split header assembly which required the battery tray on the Coupe to be removed from the engine compartment. The last one I modified had the battery moved to the area behind the rear seat. The Coupe is about 3 inches narrower than the Sedan which gives little room for the exhaust system intended for that configuration.
But, you're right, the engine could be mounted in either car.
As far as the Tach goes; if the cam is a true early engine cam then there would have to be a hole for the tach drive and an additional hole with 6mm 1.0 threads machined to accommodate the bolt needed to hold the Tach drive in place.
Or a Tach drive cam could be reground giving it the early cam specs. However then the area removed off the back end of the cam lobes will need something like lash caps to put the material removed, back on the end of the valve stem. It all goes back to the saying "you can do almost anything if you throw enough money at it".

Re: Hawaiian Engine for sale
Don't forget to be a true Hawaiian or European set up there is also a larger carb that came with them. Since the Euro cars were not detuned like the American cars there should be plenty of those parts in Germany (I got a cyl head there). If you run the Hawaiian pipes you will not have a heater.
The N360 had similar setup with the split pipes, but used ducted hot air off the engine as the heater. The bummer there was ducting in engine fumes once the gaskets leaked.
