Need following parts

Post by grysmom »

We are helping my dad find parts to his 1972 z600 coupe. Right now he is looking for a head gasket, a timing chain, and 2 font wheel brake hoses (rubber for disc brakes). Any suggestions you have for me would be greatly appreciated! (I know nothing about this stuff, just typing in what he told me he needs). Thanks

Brake hoses can be made up by most any brake workshop or hydraulic hose supplier. The timing chain is a commonly used drive chain on karts, just show the old one to an enthusiast and she'll put you right. Head gaskets are more of a problem. I reused the old one with no problems.

Please don't use a Kart drive chain! It's weak and not made to do the job. Use an engine chain. They can be found at:
Honda600CarParts.com
They are twice as strong as the original weak ones. Same quality chain as what is used in Super Bikes.
