hi i am looking at a couple z600s they have been "stored" for about 20+ years. i know that they were just "parked". when i had the old VWs i could jut remove the spark wires and turn over until the engine gained oil presure, put the spark wires on then spray cold start down the carb to try them out. i know this is probably not the case for a 600. I know that i will cause some to shutter but,.... what is the shortest way to turnover a 600 engine to see if it needs a complete rebuild? thanks dean

Re: stored start up
I suggest that you pull both plugs and put pb blaster and oil into the cylinders and remove the valve cover and dump oil on the cams, let that sit for a few hours ,Then turn the motor over with a ratchet on the crank pully. Do this slow and with little pressure as the vlves like to stick down and you will bend a valve if that is the case.
If the engine does not go a full revolution then rock the crank back and forth and it may un stick .If it doesn't then you will need to pull the head
