Gas tank and brake lines

Post by tdthies1 »

Well i decided to send my gas tank to get repaired. The local guy that
told me he could make a new one for $400 turned out to be almost $900.
I sent it to have a RENU done on it at a cost of $250 and it turned out
great.. Sorry to the guy that had a used one but i did not want to take
the chance it may not be in good condition.. Nothing against you just
that i have been burned before.
Ended up sending my brake lines in to get made and just got them back
today at a cost of $37 each. Dont know if it was a good deal but i
needed them. Took one into NAPA auto parts and they sent it in for me
becuse i live in a small town.
Took all weekend and late this afternoon but just got back from a test
drive and it did good. Next it to find out if the motor was rebuild or
just put togather wrong... compression is 110 and 115,,, not good. I
dont think i want to tear into it. lol
