I have a low mileage, rust free blue 600 coupe for sale. The good news
is it is all there and very solid with no tears in the seats and all
good glass. The bad news is that it has been sitting inside for many
years, and I'm not sure whether the engine will run or even turn over.
It also has minor damage to the roof and one front fender, easily
fixable. I also will include about a pick up truck load of used parts,
including four new Ceat 145-10 tires. The car is located in Friedens,
Pennsylvania, east of Pittsburgh a few miles from the Flight 93 crash
site. If someone is interested, I'm accepting offers over $700. Email
me direct at lewsslew@... and I can send pictures.

AZ600 for sale
Looks like one of us is getting out. If not, somebody should jump on this. ---Bryan O http://bringatrailer.com/2014/04/02/nic ... onda-z600/
Re: AZ600 for sale
If you read down the posts on "Bring a Trailer" you can find one by someone with the BAT screen name of "Kat". Once again this person makes disparaging comments about the car featured. When I was selling my N600 Sedan on ebay, Bring a Trailer also featured my car and had wonderful positive things to say about it. Kat chimed in and made negative remarks about seeing it at JCCS in Long Beach and called it an amateur restoration among other things. His negative comments were removed from the BAT comments after several people flagged it as "not constructive". After finding similar negative comments by "Kat" on this cool Z600 and the mention of Mings it makes me think Tim Ming is hiding behind the Kat name. It is unfortunate that someone with the vast resources to help Honda 600 owners/community chooses to continue to be difficult and negative instead of constructive and helpful. BTW, if you plan on showing your Honda 600 at the JCCS make sure you have a Mings sticker on it or you don't stand a chance of fair judging. There is only one extremely biased judge...guess who?
Re: AZ600 for sale
Other than missing - two rear bumper guards, having after market door weather stripping, the drip rail covers are plastic so they will be very hard to re-chrome, several engine compartment labels, hood bumpers cracked and falling apart, a fuel filter in the engine compartment, chrome lock strip on the front windshield missing who knows what else is wrong. I would put it at "LOW" condition rating on NADA guide.
Re: AZ600 for sale
When you judge in a competitive showing, everything is assumed good/correct unless otherwise noted. So only the incorrect, missing and poor preservation items are listed. This is not to say that there are not good things about the vehicle being judged only that there is not sufficient room to list both. The exception will be that everything is well preserved or restored in which case this is noted. Take perspective in the notes and use them to make things better. If you are satisfied with the results then any comment shouldn't matter.

Re: AZ600 for sale
Bill,
I think you need to re-read my post to understand my statement. It has nothing to do with the process of judging a car. Heck, I would have really appreciated a dissection of my car so I could correct any and all areas that need attention. Where else can you get a presumed class expert to give you a "to do" list so that you can improve your car for the next show or just make it more original/correct? At JCCS entrants did not receive a scoring sheet or any feedback so I was left to myself to examine the surrounding N600's that looked original and photograph areas for future reference. I learned a lot but it was not with the help of the judge (singular). I was never asked to open the hood or start the car or demonstrate if the systems were or were not operational. I guess my 20+ years of experience with Concours d'Elegance had flawed my expectations. Bill, you are one of the good guys in the 600 community and you were very helpful to me and my project.

Re: AZ600 for sale
Yes the car has been restored. But to what level of restoration was the owner shooting for. It was not restored to original factory. I can look at the pictures on Ebay and find at least 16 different issues just under the hood of the car. Some of these issues are minor and some are actually missing or incorrectly installed. To me car looks good but is not worth what the current price is at. With little thing being missed or wrong leads me to question other areas of the car for correctness. I'm sure that the next owner will be delighted to have the car and will enjoy driving it. You will find that most people will have no clue as whether something is correct or not. Just my opinion.
