So I have in my notes that 79-85 Mazda RX7 GS wheels have the correct
4x110 bolt pattern. Anyone run them on their car before? If so, what
sort of 13" low profile tires were you able to find?
How's the offset? And what did you do for lug nuts?
Thanks!

Re: RX7 Wheels
Its been over 10 years ago, so I'm not certain of all the details, but I
tried some Mazda aluminum wheels on my coupe. In my case I had to pop out
the lug BOLTS then drill out the holes and use larger, longer ones that
would accommodate the special aluminum wheel nuts. I also remember
machining the inside of the wheel where it mounts to bring the offset into
the car a little more because they stuck out a lot.
I then used temporary spare tires to meet the necessary low profile (going
from 10" wheel to 13" wheel). I was only driving the car short distances
and speeds below 40mph so I figured this would work OK for me. Everything
fit and worked well with no steering interference, etc. Unfortunately I
learned that temporary spares barely last for 1000 miles and they are very
squirrelly on the road when you have 4 of them.
Not sure this helps much more than to encourage you to avoid these specific
mistakes! Other Mazda wheels may work, and there may be decent low-profile
13" tires.

Re: RX7 Wheels
I ended up shying away from the 13's to keep the gear ratio and
unsprung weight down, but I guess those two things don't matter much
on the salt...
The tires I was eyeing (the shortest I could find) were Sumitomo HTR
200's, they come in a 175/50/13. Try www.tirerack.com, they're really
cheap.

Re: RX7 Wheels
I have Remington 175/50/13 on my RX7 wheels. Works great. Pictures in
the Photos section. Any questions you may have would probably be
answered by putting "RX7" in the Messages search option.
