I need to replace the wire cable that releases the Coupe spare tire hatch, as mine is in bits. Does anyone have any ideas about recreating this cable, not to mention getting the ends detached from the car? Please see this picture of the driver's-side cable end...

replacing the Coupe spare tire hatch wire release cable
Re: replacing the Coupe spare tire hatch wire release cable
on the latch itself there is no notch for tha cable to slip out of?
usually there is a notch, so that you turn the cable to one side and
you can pop it out of the latch, just like a bike brake cable on the
handlebar lever. im not sure houw you would go abouts making a new
cable in one piece, i would use 2 cables from a bike and join them
where you have to pull up so you dont have to deal with finding a way
to put the ends on. I think i have another cable lying around also,
will have to check when i get home.
