Re: fuel door?
Hi all:
This fuel door thing seems to come up pretty regularly. Is it time
someone reproduced one outta plastic or fiberglas? I have some fiberglas
skill and might be willing to give it a try. I have made parts for
Studebaker cars and trucks for the past 20 years. The glas stuff will last
forever. mike morris

Re: fuel door?
Mike,
I'd like more details if you decide to do this. This is the last part my Dad needs.
Also, he would be able to paint the fibreglass to match his car. That would be cool. Let me know pricing, time frame, shipping to East Coast, etc. Many thanks!!
Excellent idea!!!

Re: fuel door?
hi:
This was just an idea I had. If done the biggest part is the making of
a mold for the door face. The bracket for the hinge would be metal bonded to
the door.
In the Land of the Maple Leaf its summer and for me that is sailing
time. I just returned from 8 days aboard my boat(
www.geocities.com/lugerboats/morris/ ) . This fiberglass boat was a kit from
1976 that never got built. I built - modified it over 4 years starting in
2001..
Any work on the gas door will wait till September. Once the mold is
built costs should be fairly low per item like maybe $20.00 .
