i have 2 different types of seats off a sedan, i want to get one set
re-upholstered, just wondering if there is a better one to use, one
set has the folding lever at the bottom, the other has a cable system
that has a lever at the top side to fold the seat forward. I have
only seen the lower lever ones before. Just wondering if there was a
safety reason they have the different ones? or reason why there are
two different types. TIA
different seats which ones better?
Re: different seats which ones better?
I think the cable operated one is from a sedan, it has a ball on the end of the lever, right? Inm trying to remember if the coupe had the low mounted lever. I remember the coupe was a higher backed seat with headrest.
Re: different seats which ones better?
From experience, coupe seats wont directly bolt in a sedan.

Re: different seats which ones better?
The seats in my 100,000 mile + 600 seadan were toast a long time ago.
A trip to the auto recycler provided a pair of Pontiac Frienza seats ( Mid
engine plastic 2 seater.) These high back seats come with radio speakers in
the head rests and all but bolt right in -----and you can close the doors.
Very comfortable. Being thicker than the original seats rear leg room is non
existent. mike

LOL... you're acting like there is leg room in the rear to begin with :)
