Hi Richard.
    The NAPA stores in the cities of California are coded to keep non EPA and CARB approved automotive stuff out of the in-city stores.  And there are a number of states that are that way.  Check the off road shops and/or take a trip to the country.  I had to go to Las Vagas to pickup some for my Vette.   The difference between carbon core wires and copper or other wire is so small you wont feel the difference.

We had a discussion about this on my website a while back.  It looks like Canada is able to get these gems a lot easier than the US.

Tractor dealer or motorcycle dealer should have the wires.
