Need help picking replacement weather stripping for n600 doors.

Post by dawn_and_darrian »

I'm looking to replace the weatherstripping around my doors on my sedan, but am unsure which is the best to use.

Have any of you used this jcwhitney stripping before?  If so, which did you use?

I got weatherstripping from Mings and put it in last fall. It had the
bulb shape like Type 2 in your picture. It fit fine, easy to push on,
except for along the bottom of the opening, where your interior
plastic trim gets in the way. I cut the back part of the weatherstrip
off so it would have the same thickness as the rest, so the door would
shut against a flat plane all around. I have yet to glue the bottom
part on due to cold weather. I did try one kind of glue and found
that it was so sticky I could not get the tube away from the body
without getting stringy bits of glue as I pulled away. I found some
other glue that didn't pull away stringy, and I plan to use that when
the weather warms up.
