Hi Mike;
Send your chassis, engine and date of manufacture numbers along with your
full name address and phone number to billmyong@... and I will
send you a list of all the Canadian Owners I have listed on the Honda 600
roster of owners. As you know there are not many. But your name will be one
more. For more information on the Roster go to, www.honda600owners.com

Hi Mike,
I am Cobourg Ontario, just to the east of Toronto, and am actually on
my way out the door to see a 1970 AN600 sedan, condition is rough,
but I believe restoratble. This will be my first air cooled Honda,
but I also currently own 3 S600's and a 1976 Civic CVCC.
I will let you know if I end up pirchasing it.
Cheers,
Colin

Thanks Colin. My 71 AN600 is my summer city beater. Starts, stops and
runs quite reliably. Not very pretty but it gets the job done. Now over
100,000 miles it keeps on ticking. Amazing. mike

Re: Canadian members?
Hi Mike,
Well, I did it, I purchased the little N600. It is actually a 1971 (prod. 10/70)
VIN number ANXXX-XXX-XXXX. It has only 33,000 miles, original paint (whats left of it)
and although I thought the engine was seized, it in fact rotates smoothly with a wrench ont the crank pulley bolt. This one will not be a perfect car when I am done with it, I will save the good body job for a qualified body shop down the road. Rear seat and ignition switch are missing, but that is it.
Outer rockers are rough, but all other rust is minor and mostly only surface, the floors are PERFECT! except for one hole in the drivers floor, about 2 inches in diameter.
It is an original Ontario car, the previous owner purchased it used in 1974 from Race Motors in Lindsay, Ontario.
Do you have any pictures of your N600?
You can email me at my home address:
amy.kennedy@...
Cheers,
Colin

Hi Colin;
Talking about weird stuff, there is a owner in Canada (see below) that
has the Honda 600 sedan one number up from yours. It's been a while since I
heard from Dean, but he may still be around in B.C. You might want to look
him up. Not often you see two Honda 600's that shared the same assembly
line (one just ahead of the other).

Colin:
Good luck with your new car. It is my understanding from Honda Canada
these cars were never sold new in this country. Mine came from California.
When I tried to get parts Honda Canada said they have no parts available. I
was able to get the last oil filter (using the part number)from their
warehouse in BC.Some ignition parts are the same as motor cycle and can be
got thru bike dealers. The best source for parts I have found is Mike
O'Connor in Statesville North Carolina---tmoc1990@... -- a good guy.
Funny about the floors. When I asked Mike about these cars before i
bought mine he said" there are 2 things you wont find. Rusty trunk lids.
They are plastic and rusty floors" He didn't know what Honda made them from.
At that point he had handled over 100 cars .
I took a bunch of photos but sent them to the insurance company. I have
no way to send photos over the net anyway. Sorry. I had my car out yesterday
for a run around town. Don't you love the weather. My car has over 100,000
miles on it now. As far as I know the head is the only thing that has been
replaced .It makes strange noises but runs like a champ. I need to replace
the tires soon. The little beggars don't last long. Mine went only about
12000 miles and I can't find a tire dealer in London who can get me new
ones. They all say they are NLA. O'Connor has them so I guess thats where
I'll shop. I have both a shop and parts books. mike morris London

Re: Canadian members?
Hi Mike,
I am going to pick the car up on Sunday, so I will be able to assess it better when it is in my garage.
The tire rack sells 10 inch Kumho's for $29 US each, but I am sure it would much more with duty and shipping. So long as I can get the tire that is on it to hold air long enough to put it on the trailer, I can wait until spring to find some.
I have delt with Mike O'Conner in the past for my S600 parts, he seems to be a very reasonable guy.
Here is a picture of 2 of my S600,s, one is drivable, the other is in restoration (20 years and counting)
Cheers,
