Years ago the stiff Clutch Pedal bother me also. I had lubed the cable and
everything seemed ok. I noticed that the clutch pedal did not need much
travel to disengage the clutch and that go me thinking. The pivot point
for the arm that pushes in on the throw out bearing was in the wrong place
to use more of the pedal travel. With some short lengths of 1" strap iron
I fabricated two items that replaced the stock clutch arm. One part used
the originial pivot point for an anchor and was the new pivot point nearer
the throw out bearing. The second part was a shorter throw out arm.
Everything went in place with out modifing any of the stock parts. The
results were I had an easy pedal that only required a bit more foot travel
to work it. And the load on the cable and pedal was way less...
The car was sold years ago and am sorry I don't have a photo but I could
make a drawing that would convey the idea.

Hi Wally,
Did this go on a coupe or sedan? I've got a TN360 that looks like it
has the same mechanism as the sedan.
