Thanks for the info.  Bill I am emailing them for information and trying to get a small piece of material.  I will let all know what happens.  I tried cutting the back side off of the weather stripping to see if that would work and it did except that I still had to close the door hard so it came right back off.  I took it out for a spin yesterday and the rebuilt carb I got on ebay made a huge difference in running.  fixed the ruff idle and up and down running.

    You can move the latch catch on the door post out a bit to allow the door to close easier, this will set the door out a bit but will allow it to close easier.   Then after a while you can move it back and it will close like before.  Slamming your door is never a good thing to do.  Besides causing the door to crack at the window brace (Coupe) it can jar the internal components of the door itself.
