Miles,Did you expirience rotor glazing, and poor braking over the
last 20 years? I know the Honda brakes on the early sedans are v.
poor,And I run an adjustable MOPAR proportioning valve but still
have brake fade when slowing down from moderate speeds,(50 mph.) I'm
constantly sanding rear pads and drums and I know everthing is OK,as
My other cars did the same thing. Could it be the original TOKIKO
pads are better,or the civic rear shoes are not the right compound?
I'm using the 2 piston coupe setup. riceburner006
600 brakes!!!
Re: 600 brakes!!!
Never had a brake glaze problem. Had fade on long steep hills. If
your booster works, all should be good. Loosen handbrake all the way
before adjusting rear shoes then readjust handbrake. I think the
original shoe material is FE or FF and if the new shoes are same,
should work on. Most of the stopping comes from the fronts anyway.''

Re: 600 brakes!!!
Ive seen 14 inch custom brakes on a 71 rally mini. The guy told me he had to do alot of fabracation to get them to work on the rally coil overs. He told me he had to put a regulator to keep it in control.................fabracation is the only way to go on cars like ours......GOOD LUCK!
