Coupe hatch area covering?

Does anyone know how the area behind the back seat on the Coupe was originally covered?  Carpet or vinyl?  If carpet, the same as the rest of the car or something else?

  Is vinyl on top of a very hard cardboard.

It is a thin, grooved vinyl trimmed on the edges, over a hard
fiberboard, with a thick plastic "L" piece covering the front edge of
the board (right behind the seat).
