Who knows the value of a 71 sedan in near perfact shape. Fresh rebuild on the engine. Someone was talking about A slipper in the crank case. Can anyone send me a picture and does anyone have one I can purchase from them. I have replaced just about everything you can replace in my engine except this part and I don't want it to be done "HALF ASS" .
And no I havent seen any 600 that have been modified like a new inport. But I have seen a mini all decked out. I had never seen a 600 till mine was delivered to my house.  Very few of these in milwaukee. Thanks. James.

yeah 600s are neat and rare.
i think the rarest ones ( us market not ones brough ouver) are the ones that came to hawaii in 69 or was it early 70?
most of them west coast folks get to see all the cool rare stuff. us southcoast folks only get us stuff ( ie: fords chevys) no one likes import of anykind. { i mean as a whole not the small pockets of us that do}
i bet you probably have the only one in that whole upper US area except maybe somone in chicago might have one.
im guessing a great one probably in the 3 - 5 K range but i dont know i think there was a good one in autoweek a few years back that got in the 4s.
well good luck with the motor thingie.

Hi James;
    I am sending you two pictures.  The slipper is item #3 in the parts manual page.  The slipper pin in the other picture is one I put in back in 1991.  I used JB Weld on both the upper and lower pins.  They have not moved, and the slipper is still where it's supposed to be.

Thanks for the pictures. Do you know if these pins are still available for sale or do they really need to be replaced. James

James (and all) - OK folks... I want to dispell the myth right now.
Believe it or not there are other Honda 600 owners in the upper
midwest! Wisconsin specifically. I think folks on the coasts have an
image that we drive around on dirt roads through the woods and cow
pastures. (No offence to anyone, I've lived on both coasts and loved
it). I own two 600 sedans. One is a 1970 Hawaiian which I have
restored and the other is a totally mint/factory original 1972 with
7800 miles on it. The 72 sat in a Honda dealer showroom for most of
it's 30+ years, it still has the original shrink wrap on the
interior. The dealer had an offer from Honda to purchase it about 10
years ago but refused because he couldn't part with it.
As I was working on my Hawaiian I kept saying that I'd love to see a
new one again (I owned a new one in the 70's, I think it was about
$1700!) and then I found my 72 in Oaklahoma. I have had similar
questions about value, though these are two fairly rare birds so
it's hard to compare. If anyone has an opinion about the market
value on my original 72 I'd love to hear it. I admire any efforts to
restore and preserve these wonderful cars, but how do you adjust for
the "stock" un-touched factor? I'd really appreciate any feedback
from the group.
Thanks! Greg

no we thin of yo uas having pit hole roads with road salt all over them if your in wisconnson.
now your talking. i love brand new never driven cars that are  old.
except that you can clean a original one and make it better.
anyway i iish a company would help me restore my stuff ( datsun truck)
of all the car worths, your never used on should be worth the most unless someone has one that has less miles and was taken to the next level. ie: concours clean.

Yes, us wisconsinites love road salt and rust and the fact that if you have a car you love you can only drive it a few months out af a year,if you don't want to destroy it with cancer(rust).
Someone wrote that these cars are only worth about 4-5 grand if in mint condititon. I have about 10,000 worth of reciepts from a honda dealer in New Mexico.(i didn't purchase them,The car and parts were a gift.) Almost seems like a waste,Ya know.
I will restore mine to near mint and near original condition except the paint I want to paint mine a canery yellow and my seats will be cloth not vinal. Than I want to show it as much as possible. Thanks to all who write and for the help with all the techinical questions. It is nice to know there are people who are still nice and are willing to help. Well Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there. James.

That's exactly what I thought! The smell of manure and using 600's
to pull plows and karts! No,I think that's a real nice find! I don't
know the value,but I think it is what the buyer is willing to spend
or how badly he wants it! I sat in one in 1972,while in the
showroom,and said to my friend;Who in their right mind would ever
drive one of these! riceburner006

Hi Greg;
On your remark that there are no Honda 600 owners in Wisconsin, I know
there are 11 on the roster and some of them may no longer be owners. But
where are all the rest? It's a free listing, all I need are your vehicle
numbers your address phone number and your on. I use to take names and wait
for vehicle numbers but a number of owners never sent their numbers to me -
Greg.
So were are all the Honda 600 owners in Wisconsin?
