600 fs

Post by Oleotwo »

o.k. everyone:
when i advertised my honda 600 coupe for sale about a month ago, several folks asked for pictures.    unfortunately, i have never done that before.      sooo, it took me 'till now to acquire the pictures, machinery and knowledge to send the photos by email.         i still don't know how to send more than one page at a time--but i will work on that.
anyhow, the car is a '72  600 coupe with the engine out, but with a whole extra power unit from a 600 sedan.  i want $600 or will trade up for a runner and add cash. i also have a 1972 datsun 240-z ($3500) that could be worked into a trade.

To anyone who's restored 600s before (Miles? William?), how's the
outlook for this poor baby?
$600 is tempting, but I have no experience repairing rust, and to my
untrained eye this car looks to be in pretty bad shape.
Thanks for the advice!

Hi Matt;
    To repair rust, you remove the rusty part, remove the rust, or dip it to do the same thing.  Of course, cutting and welding the body takes time and money, to change out the part, not nearly as expensive nor as hard to do.  However, to much rust will make for a very lengthy restoration.
