please help with hood

i took my z600 coupe to a mechanic for some help. when i got home i
wanted to check the brake fluid and found the hood won't open. the
wire that you pull on to make it open won't move. how do i get the
hood open now. please help =(

Look under the hood to the passenger side. You will notice where the cable
goes in, using a needle nose or other long nosed pliers, pull the cable and
it should open.

If the cable fell out of it's holder or broke then use a long
screwdriver and pry over on the latch thru the grille, push down on
hood a bit to ease tension, careful not to bend the grille.
