Honda N600 foud
Re: Honda N600 foud
I got my Z600 from a storage auction for $5.00! It had been parked there for 12 years. As luck would have it, it was stored indoors for that whole time. The auctioneer tried to pump up the crowd by telling them that it is a classic (it is), and how few of them are around. Then started the bid out at $100. No one bid, then he went down, down down till it got to $5 and I popped my hand up. Had I not gotten there early and saw if no one bid he went down in price i could have spent $100. So if it is done in an auction style wait and see if the price goes down, then if they don't sell the car make a deal with them after the auction. They just want the money and don't want to deal with getting rid of the car.

Hay Jose;
That's great, can I get the chassis, engine and date of manufacture from
the car when you do?
Thanks
Bill

Re: Honda N600 foud
Hi Jason; That is really an interesting story.
I maintain a list of Honda 600's by chassis, engine, date of manufacture and country they were sold in. You would be surprised to know how many Honda 600's do not have their original engine. Chassis number or VIN seems to be a sequential number from the first to last. However the engines were built according to country they were intended to be sold in. Many of you will notice a Round label on interior parts with the letters "KA". This is a designation for vehicles and parts destined for North America market (not the USA). All Coupe engines sold in France begin with 20 instead of 25 like they do for all other markets. The numbering system is important because it is used to identify parts for different engines or vehicles. A wiring harness for a Sedan sold in England is quite different from one sold in North America. Now that we are looking for parts all over the world via the internet, part numbers and vehicle association to country code and/or numbers can mean the difference between a part that fits your car and one that although looks the same will not work. Case in point is the instrument cluster for a Sedan dated before a specific date or Chassis number is different from later models. But the interior review mirror bracket for a coupe was the same all the way through 1979 Civics.
But I would like to get your New Coupe's numbers.

Hay
There are 3 Honda N600, They want $1000.00 for all 3 cars. The one I look at
it look so sad, all rusted. is siting on top of a boat trailer and is full of
guardage if the other 2 cars look as bad as that 1 they mite be worth $100.00
OR $200.00 to save the Parts. I will trade to look at the cars this weekend.
