N600

Post by troutvortex »

Hi all, I just purchased an N600 sedan for $500.00 from an older
couple who brought it up from California. It needs work, I'm lucky
enough to be a sales manager for a large Honda dealership, so I have
access to many things, what I'm hoping to get from this club is info
on aftermarket accesories, such as engine mods to increase hp, ie:
dual carbs, big pistons etc...
Your imput would be great!
Thanks, Trout.

As part of a package deal with other classic vehicles I bought, I have become the owner of 2 honda n600 sedans. One does run, and it will likely run better with a good old fashioned tune-up but it needs brake work; it has set for around 17 years until now. The other car is a parts car. There is also an extra engine/trans assembly. I believe all are 1972 vintage. To my knowledge and inspection, the running car is complete. I have greater interests in other vehicles, and would like to find a new home for this lot of hondas. If anyone has any interest in these vehicles, contact me. I will place an initial value on the lot of $1500. Vehicles were initially sold out of a dealer in NJ. Located in western NY. Thank you.

At this point I do not.  I will need a few days to get some around, as I am self employed as a portable repair service for heavy equipment, and am out  of the area frequently.

Some pictures would certainly help here. Are both cars movable, wheels and tires and steering? I am on Long Island. Just where in Western NY are we talking about? I am interested.

You were the second response to this, I sent some pictures out to the first response, I will send some out to you later tonight I hope.I haven't heard back from the other fellow yet, but we'll see what happens.  I am located 120 miles west of Binghamton, 65 miles south of Buffalo, 25 miles north of the PA line, and 70 miles east of Jamestown.  I'm on route 86 near a small town called Angelica.  I don't have pictures of the parts car, as it isn't home yet, but I can assure you it is in much worse shape than the other.  I can't even vouch for the "completeness" of the parts car, since I haven't been any closer than 10 feet to it.  I plan to go get it this weekend.  More later.

Went to get the parts car out from its present location, and due to our long time subzero temps here, it is frozen into the ground quite firmly-- so it will likely be a couple months before I know if that car will move or steer, but the running car has new rubber on it, steers fine, but I have the master cyl off in an attempt to find out what else the brake system will need.  Naturally, though, the more I sink into this, the more the price goes up.  I also did not take the liberty to raise the hood on the parts car to see how complete it is.  Next time I get over that way I will look it over more closely.  I do believe that both cars are late production with the synchro trans, as well as the 3rd engine/trans assembly.  More info as it is available.
Thanks.
