Drive it cuz you like it

The discussion about values and driving a 600 bring me to say: I
drive it cuz I like it. Not because it is valuable. It isn't. Not
because it is perfectly restored. It isn't. Not because other people
will be jealous. Most of them aren't. I drive it for fun. It has a
mediocre coat of flat gray primer from 2 (count 'em: 2)spray cans. I
had the engine fixed so that I can drive it. I bartered parts for the
work. It's fun to drive! People who notice seem to get a kick out of
it. It does not bother me that it not a wonderful paint job. The
pleasure to me is in the driving. No need to spend big bucks or worry
about the value of the car. I drive it cuz I like it.

Regarding the value placed on your vehicle. The topic was "why are they
worth so little?" not driving them. The explanation states that if you do
not value it then neither will other people. But it is your car, and if
you like it in a two-can coat of primer paint job then I say have fun. I
personally would rather have it fully restored to let other people see what
they looked like when new.

yep, and i still say that they arent worth anything because nobody likes them. i think everyone misunderstood wht i had said. not uncommon on the internet.
      i said they arent worth anything thing  because nobody likes them.  what i meant was that, they are more rare than a 60's mustang but nobody but people like us likes them so that makes their demand go down. now i have a N600 that im gonna restore to concours ( well i want it like that any way :) )but it wont be worth that.
i also realised that im in alabama and forgot that some of you arent. if its not a chevy with a 3 sicker on it its not worth anything. so ........
anyway i love all my quirky old cars and i want to restore them and stare at them and only drive them around the block. ok comense the bashing im ready :) and wax them but beacuse they arent that popular makes them not worth anything. thats my answer to you question.

nobody likes them? women seem to like them. on the
few trips to the corner store i've taken since i
recently bought my honda z600 each time i've had at
least one woman come up to me and tell me how cute my
car is and how much she likes it.
muscle cars impress men. honda 600s impress women. ;)

Your right about not many people, (MACHO-MEN=little boys in GORILLA
SUITS) being interested in these cool cars! How long did it take you
to figure that out? IT took me about 13 years! I picked up and dated
a few nice ladies in my Riceburner,and only one complained,the
others loved it!!! It's so easy to get them to check it out!
