Ian's all japanese meet update and repair progress

Post by honda600js »

Hello listies.
Well as you know the Datsun meet went well. I have
sent in the film to be transferred the CD. I'll be
posting a pictorial for all to see to both the Honda
list and datsun lists since there were 411's there and
N600's. Does anyone have any other photos that you
could post?
I'll be picking a date in january for the next
meet so everyone can be ready ahead of time. I'm
hoping for not only a bigger turn out, but a rally or
some sort of actual event besides eating.... not that
the eating was bad of course.
On my Datsun things are going well. As most of you
know it is a '67 RL411 1600 auto. I've got the
bearings replaced, the dash replaced, the tires
replaced, windsheild replaced, head replaced and the
brakes replaced (with lots of help at the meet! THANKS
guys!) next I have the rest of the suspention, then
the cosmetics of the body. I'd like to get the seats
recovered. I've seen the 510 kits. anyone know if they
fit the 411 seats?
On my N600, I need cam roller parts. Ill be
replacing my entire upper end with some good used
parts I have.... but i still need a chain, rollers and
slippers. I wonder what i should do with my good used
crank shaft? It does make a good door stop, and an
excellent anchor... just kidding, it is oiled and
stored in a cool dry place. that's about it for now.
see you round!
Ian
'70 AN600 sedan,
'67 RL411 1600 auto
