I'm the new owner of a 1971 Honda 600 Sedan and totally jazzed about it!
Been going through manuals and the parts book and getting familiar with everything.
There were some loose parts with the car, some of which I've figured out, some of which I haven't.
I can't stand it anymore and I have to ask.
In attached picture (from page 14-25 of the sedan shop manual), in the upper left-hand corner of the picture, there's a bolt holding a funky little bracket on, and that bracket has what looks to me like a giant o-ring hanging from it.
I've got the bracket, but not the donut thing.
WHAT IS THAT GOOFY DONUT/RING THING?
From the picture, it looks like it would serve no purpose whatsoever.

Cool. Thanks for the reply. I see it on the exhaust page in the manual now.

The donut like thing is to attach to the muffler/exhaust damper.
