Scott is correct, these tires are commonly known as “Trailer Queen Tires” good enough to use for show but not safe for the Highway.  Even if you put radial inner tubes in them they separate between the treads leaving a sizable gap which could allow a stone to cut the inner tube.   We owe it to the other drivers on the road to keep our older cars safe and not a hazard.

Howdy everyone, I too had a ten year old Michelin's tread, just peel right off at highway speeds. NOT FUN.

I had an old one of these blow out on the
highway.  It wasn't worn but rubber degrades with age even if the tire is not driven on.  OK for show or spare but I'd be wouldn't drive on the highway with it.  Fortunately mine was on the back.
