Removing Engine Shroud - Tach side
I am in the process of removing both shoulds to better visually see where oil leaks may be coming from. Battery side is no problem. Other side, however, the tach cable is in the way of the bolt.
My question is: Do I need to first remove the tach cable (and if so, what do I need to unbolt? I am hoping to not have to remove the cam holder!).
Thanks for any info.

Re: Removing Engine Shroud - Tach side
u can remove the tach cable by loosening the little 8mm bolt and just pulling it out

Re: Removing Engine Shroud - Tach side
i should have been more specific, the little bolt on the side of the tach cable housing off the side of the cam housing. u don't have to remove the whole assembly, just the bolt, theres a rubber o ring on the tach cable that depending on its age will make it more or less snug so u might have to give it a tug to pull the cable out.

Hmmm, no O ring. Perhaps this is contributing to oil leak. Anyone know where I can get a new one?

Re: Removing Engine Shroud - Tach side
after looking at the manual the tach cable itself doesn't show a o-ring. even though looking at photos i see one.
there is though on the tach drive an oil seal which is available from
honda600carparts.com . i can't remember how u have to further disassemble the tach drive to reach it though.
hope this helps. look on page 1-8 of the coupe parts manual for more info.
