Hi Logan;
First remove it from your vehicle, then open all the bolts, fittings,
but do not remove the pistons in side yet. Place the cylinder and all parts
in a bucket of clear water. Let it set there for a few hours. Brake fluid
absorbs moisture, a dry cylinder has all kinds of brake fluid crystals on
the inside of it. The water will put the H2O back into the mix and allow
your pistons in the cylinder to move again with a bit of tapping and putting
it back into the water there is a good chance you can clean everything up
(with clean water and liquid soap) use a tooth brush to get into the hard to
reach or tight areas. Then rinse, dry with compressed air and use a good
magnifying glass to see if there are any cracks, nicks or abrasions on the
rubber, any of which can cause it to leak. Use a good rebuild brake fluid
and your on your way. Just clean everything.
