The brackets on the enclosed picture must go somewhere on my 72 600 coupe, but I took it apart 15 years ago and now its a mystery. They are not the brackets on the front that mount on the subframe at the same point as the front bumper brackets - those are already on the car. If you can identify them, it would help a lot. Car is being reassempled after completing body work and paint, and since its a very low mileage, one owner car I'd like to put at least most of the parts back in the right place (just kidding).
I hope the attachment shows up - I've never posted a message with an attachment before.
Thanks
Ray

Hi Ray: Those are tie down brackets for shipping the car. They bolt on the front of the frame with the loops facing the ground under the fenders and on the other side of the frame is the bumper brackets. Good luck and no skinned knuckles!

Re: Z600 Part ID
Jack,
Thanks for the quick reply...but, I'm pretty sure I've got two very
similar brackets already in place on the front. One of them was never
removed, so I'm sure I have the right brackets on the front - mounted
with the same bolts that hold on the bumper bracket. They are
slightly different than the ones in the picture (the loop is curved
on the brackets on the car; they're straight on the two in the
picture). Maybe I somehow ended up with extra brackets? Or maybe
these are from my Camaro or Firebird restorations and they don't even
belong on the Honda??
Thanks
Ray

Re: Z600 Part ID
Hi Jack, they are tie down brackets, but not for the Honda 600. I will dig around and find some to put up on the page.
