If a long tongue jack is used as shown in the ANZ photo album section on
removing your engine. A normal removal from pushing it into the garage to
having it out in front of you to work on takes me 30 minutes. Replacement
is reverse and normally takes about the same amount of time. I use a
come-a-long to lift the front of the body off the engine and a 12 inch 4X4
to stabilize the front of the subframe, the saddle of the Jack is under the
center rear of the subframe, lifting the body off the engine is the only way
to go. And, moving the engine and subframe unit around on a jack is so
simple, stable and you have everything right there to work on. Also the
advantage of having the body a good 40 inches off the floor gives you plenty
of room to change the fuel filter on the sedans and clean up the engine
compartment before you reinstall your fresh engine.
Take a look.
