I tried starting the car tonight; the starter spun the engine for the
fitst time in over 20 years. The fuel pump made a loud clicking noise
but I didn't see any fuel in the filter. Does the pump need to be
primed somehow? I raised the back of the car slightly to help force
the gas forward, but it didn't help. I just got done with many hours
of cleaning gum out of the fuel lines and tank, so I don't think
that's the problem.

Did you put new fuel lines? sounds like the pump is working, the pump should click until it built pressure and then stop. replace the fuel line before the pump and see if that works.> I tried starting the car tonight; the starter spun the engine for the

Re: reviving 600 sedan, another question
Last night I cleaned the fuel lines AGAIN...because they had somehow managed to replug themselves. Hooked everything up and the gas flowed, so I started it up! Throttle cable is sticky and it will of course need some tuning, but I could not be happier! I hope to get this thing on the road in another few weeks. Thanks for everyone's help, and expect some dumb questions from me regarding brakes and wheel bearings in the next week or two!

That is good news, did you send pics of the car to the group?
