Honda Z600 Roof Weatherstrip

Post by Joseph Corsinita »

How do I put the chrome in the Roof Weatherstrip?
Do I put the Weatherstrip and then the plastic chrome
or do I put the chrome on the Weatherstrip and than put it in the car?
What if anything I use to lubricate the Weatherstrip to push the Chrome in place.

Bill; Thanks for posting the procedure...
Sorry if I missed it in an earlier posting - Where can I get the replacement rubber for the top. Mine are in OK shape other than they seem to have shrunk lengthwise.. I have them out right now since I am getting the body prepped for painting, so I'd like to get new in there... Same question on the chrome strips - any particular place I can get the "door edging" in the right size/shape? Other than "Plastic 13/32 inch wide", is there any other characteristic(s) that I should look for..
Related subject - when you replace the chrome strip on the roof rain gutters, do you maintain the center stainless steel connector strip (about 2-3" if I recall, or did you eliminate that?
Thanks,
Bill S.
