Re: 600 Car Parts
I haven't filed a claim in a while but I would just call customer service at Paypal and ask them.

Re: 600 Car Parts
What did you order? Where did you order it from? There are a few sites out there that list every part in the catalog but only actually have a very few minor items.

Re: 600 Car Parts
Everyone,
My experience has been good with Honda600carparts. However, he does not send out order confirmations or tracking numbers. I questioned this one time and he explained he is essentially a one-man operation and does not have the time to send out updates. His orders did come slowly, but they did come and items were as described. His email is:

Oops, I didnt read through the thread. The site honda600carparts.com is run by a guy named Dr Bruce Whiting, who uses the email theenginebuilder@...
and is a member of both major 600 yahoo groups. He last posted here on Nov 26. So then as I understand it, this site is operated by one guy, who assembled a bunch of parts that work with the 600. I believe he runs the business on a part time basis. I ordered a bunch of parts from him in the middle of 2013 and he was quite helpful. I agree that youve waited too long though. I would assume he is either busy, on vacation, in the hospital, dead, or has run off to some sunny country with your money. I only know that he started the site with good intentions.

Re: 600 Car Parts
Maybe that was the original intention. But I've seen nothing but horror stories for the past 3 years now. Stories of people never getting parts or buying parts that do show up and don't fit properly. Parts that are supposedly for Honda 600s but are generic "close enough" parts that he then says need modification after buying them. For example.
Brake cylinders with the wrong spacing of the studs that he later says just reem out the backing plate on the rear drum assembly. Then stated to me when asking about thread pitch for the brake line to just cross thread it and it'll clean itself up. Again none of this is mentioned on the site. These parts simply should not be sold and advertised as fitting a Honda 600.
Carb parts that are incorrect.
Suspension bushings that when pressed Into place by a Honda dealership mushroom and become un usable when originals could be pressed out and then reused.
This isn't hear-say. This is just a portion of my personal experience.
If I knew then what I know now I could have saved myself 1000s of dollars and even more time and headaches.
Go to Mings, Oconnor or Colford. And they will tell u where to get parts that will fit. Or join the Facebook group and ask the members there. There are plenty of good used parts still out there and people who can refurbish other parts
Don't rely on what looks like the end all one stop shop. You'll end up like the many others who are dissatisfied and out hard earned money and precious time.

Re: 600 Car Parts
All of you and many others that have had dealings with this Honda Parts site are seeing now what I said a few years ago.
As the BBB says, every company will have complaints; you can’t do business without getting a few, its how that company deals with these complaints. Ridiculous wait times and poor communications is all customer service and you’re finding out what happens.
People who use/join this group and receive these types of comments are kicked off the group. Many of the Honda 600 owners that join us are hobbyists who will share a wealth of information no strings attached. Some have gone out of their way to find companies that will make different parts but don’t want to deal with limited orders or a multitude of questions. As we have done before, we can join together to have a limited run of items no longer offered by Honda for our projects. This helps to keep our cars on the road but doesn’t put parts on the shelf.
Keep adding to the group and help others keep their cars on the road.

Re: 600 Car Parts
Last July 12 I ordered some window rubber from Honda 600 Car Parts. in early August I emailed him and he said they were still coming. Followup queries in September and early October were unanswered. October 14 I filed a claim with PayPal, and within a week I received notice of a shipment. They arrived October 29, with no explanation or comment.
